HISTORY - How It All Started

Feeling disenfranchised with the manner to which the current team he was playing on was being run Vinnie Jones sent Jay Hotch an e-mail on Sunday September, 30 2007 suggesting they start their own team.  Mr. Hotch unable to come up with a decent excuse as to why this could not be done, replied that he agreed and so it came to be that Hollywood All Stars Football Team was conceived.

This date is now only mentioned in world history as 9/30. September 30 is now regarded as the date when the world truly changed.  On that day acting on Vinnie’s advice Jay immediately sprang into action at a slow to medium pace organizing what was to become the Hollywood All Stars Football Club (H.A.S.F.C).

The slow to medium pace eventually became a light jog. And as the light jog effectively burns more calories Jay and Vinnie knew that they were forming something incredible. Together they formed a club that would not only change history as we know it, but also Sunday football in Santa Monica…….FOREVER!

The next important stage was to design a badge to represent their dream. Together they sat down and decided that a club badge must be formed in order to cement their place in history and crown the existence of the club. The visions shared between Vinnie and Jay has been likened to the equivalent of King and Arthur being handed Excalibur by the Lady of the Lake. Except that they were both men who played football and they had nothing to do with mediaeval British folklore. But other than that it was identical.

H.A.S.F.C not unlike the traditions of many great world clubs knew that its foundations were represented in what the badge stood for. Celtic football club was founded by an Irish priest who aimed to serve the poor Irish immigrants living in Glasgow. And the shamrock on the badge of Celtic’s shirt highlights its Irish roots. Arsenal were formed by Scottish workers living in London who made guns and ammunition and the Cannon formed their badge. Hollywood All Stars had 5 stars placed above the football on their badge. Each star on H.A.S.F.C badge would represent the team’s outlook and passion for life just as the cross signifies Christ. And the football on the badge would not only indicate that they loved to play football, but that they also liked to watch it on TV a lot as well.
